“Shipwrecked” is sailing into the 155th Street and Riverside Drive sidewalk in early spring. Artist Montserrat Daubon is creating a large-scale bronze and wooden sculpture of the stern of a ship complete with a mermaid bust. With help from DOT Sidewalks engineers, this sculpture will not rock the boat, but instead provide a sculptural oasis for Washington Heights.
